Sales/Marketing Manager

Sales manager needed to lead U.S. and international sales and marketing efforts. The qualified candidate is excited about technology and by the challenge of developing and carrying out sales and marketing plans; working closely with members of the sales team to build sales opportunities; and planning and participating in strategies and campaigns designed to retain existing customers, identify prospective customers and build company credibility and visibility in the steel fabrication and related industries.  

We’re looking for a seasoned consultative salesperson with a track record of driving business expansion through sales to existing and new customers. The right person will relish the prospect of getting out into the steel fabrication community by attending industry events, engaging in social networking, making sales calls and trips, and establishing him or herself as an industry expert.   

Key responsibilities and activities:

  • Build an effective sales process and train others to practice and sustain it.
  • Work closely with members of the sales and marketing team, and others in the company, to identify and pursue existing and new opportunities for growth.
  • Work with account executives and resellers to meet customers’ and prospects’ fabrication management needs with the company’s flagship product and its ongoing development of new technologies.
  • Lead in-house account managers and global resellers in identifying opportunities and working consistently and systematically to convert opportunities to sales.
  • Play a leadership role in designing a marketing and advertising plan based on business environment challenges and opportunities, including knowledge of issues specific to software sales.
  • Attend regional and national conferences and industry events to build company visibility and credibility and identify trends that can be converted to sales opportunities.

The qualified candidate needs:

  • 5+ years in sales and/or marketing, preferably in the software/high tech industry and/or manufacturing, job-shop or construction environments.
  • BA/BS degree
  • Ability to move fast and be flexible in response to a changing business environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Cracker-jack presentation skills
  • Experience in the steel fabrication industry or related industries a plus

This job is a full-time position in Eugene, Oregon with medical, dental and 401K benefits.
